My optometrist told me to use MacuHealth instead of just the lutein I had been taking, because both my parents had macular degeneration and she hoped this would offset it. The MacuHealth was just confusing - it offered a number of different formulas, and I didn't know which one to get, so I went online to find the original research to see what the ingredients were that my optometrist wanted me to take. The studies supported the use of Lutein, Meso-Zeaxanthin and Zeaxanthin in a 10:10:2 ratio, and the other ingredients in the Macuhealth had sketchy research. The Vision Essence at meyespa.com was perfect - it had the 3 ingredients in the ratio supported by the studies, and the cost was far, far less expensive. I am grateful that I found them.
