There are many studies on the use of Omega 3 for cardiac and brain health that use very high daily doses... even up to 25grams/day of Salmon oil!     Also, a prescription Omega 3 (EPA) drug (Vascepa) is approved by the FDA at 4000 milligrams/day.

For healthy individuals, this is far above what is typically recommended for dry eye therapy (1200 - 2000 milligrams / day).   In clinic, I typically do not use over 2000 milligrams per day for patients.  mEYEspa's most potent and concentrated Omega 3 is I-VU Plus packing a whopping 1200mg or EPA + DHA in ONE capsule.   (See blog on Omega 3 cost comparisons)

If you have elevated Triglyceride (lipid) levels or are on blood thinners, you should consult your physician before taking any Omega 3 supplements.

Omega 3 dry eye therapy is always used in conjunction with lubricant drops like :Hyabak or I-Drop PUR or HYLO or anti-evaporative products like I-Drop MGD Eye Drops or Thealoz DUO Eye Drops
