Thealoz® Duo | 10ml
Thealoz® Duo is best for for severe dry eye and 40+ year old computer users
Thealoz® Duo contains two proven dry eye therapies in one bottle:
- Trehalose: a natural substance present in many plants and animals that survive in extremely dry conditions. It helps protect the eye from dryness and is the active ingredient in Thealoz.
- Hyaluronic acid: a gentle solution that lubricates with long-lasting relief and is the active ingredient in Hyabak
2023 NEWS: Thealoz DUO is the only artificial tear proven to reduce inflammatory markers (IL-1b/6/8) with 60 day use! (Study Reference)
Thealoz® Duo is not the answer for all forms of dry eye. Please see our Guides - DRY EYE DIGITAL EYE STRAIN BLEPHARITIS ALLERGY and speak to your eye care professional about the correct dry eye therapy for you.
The special, filtered Duo bottle allows for the drop to be non-preserved. This means that it is very gentle to the ocular surface and can be used many times a day if required. The Duo bottle also has a long shelf life of 180 days (NEW approval!) once opened. This is 6 times longer than a standard bottles' shelf life.
- Hydration, bioprotection, and regeneration of the eye’s surface
- No preservatives or phosphates
- Increases tear film thickness
- Reduces dry eye symptoms and damage to the eye’s surface
- Can be used with contact lenses
Each bottle has ~300 drops. In-clinic, I typically recommend 2x/day so that is over ~4 months of relief.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
You do not make mention of the Sodium Hyaluronate 0.15% in your description of product, but rather you focus on the Hyaluronic Acid, which isn’t even listed on the box. Why? The Sodium Hyaluronate is a natural polysaccharide found in the human eye which holds water to hydrate and lubricate the surface of the eye. It keeps the solution on the eye surface giving long lasting relief and cutting down the healing time of the corneal epithelium (the clear surface on the eye). There’s many fake “THEALOZ Duo” products out there. How do we know this is the real deal?
What a thoughtful question - thanks. Sodium Hyaluronate (specific common component to many eye drops) and Hyaluronic Acid (more general family/umbrella reference) are used interchangeably here. You are asking the main question why I started this site! "How do we know this is the real deal?" - I recommend this drop to patients daily in clinic... it is the the real deal. I wanted to reduce 'marketing and spin' for mEYEspa vistors and offer only clinic tested products.
Is this product made in Canada?
All Thea products are made in France.
At what temperature should this medication be stored?
Although non-preserved, these drops do not need to be refrigerated. Room temperature is OK - ideally below 25 degrees Celsius - do not freeze
