I-DROP MGD® | 0.2% Hyaluronan | 10mg

$38.90 CAD

I-DROP MGD | 0.2% Hyaluronan | 10mg for evaporative dry eye  is the first-choice, anti-evaporative offering for our clinic.   It has some innovative features that work great to address not only dry eye related to blepharitis but also digital eye strain.  See mEYEspa's guide on digital eye stain.

The formulation contains 0.20% viscoadaptive hyaluronan, as well as superior osmoprotectants and bioprotectants that stabilize and enhance the lipid layer, while reducing evaporation of the tear film.

This unique formulation offers great  ocular hydration and comfort. It is a long-lasting artificial tear that re-coats the surface of the eye with every blink, resulting in a lower therapy cost to the patient with fewer daily applications.

I-DROP MGD is not contact lens compatible.

To protect patients I look at the both efficacy and safety of every drop we sell.  The bottle matters!  The I-MED one-way valve bottle dispenses one sterile dosed drop at a time (no wasted product) and eliminates any chance of the product re-entering the bottle.

Even more important, the novel antibacterial tip ensures safe dropping well after then initial dose.

Each bottle has ~240 drops.  My recommendation is typically 2x/day so one bottle could last 4 months.  No one has a longer shelf life..  I-DROP® MGD can be used for up to 12 months after the bottle has been opened!

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Is there a reason why I-DROP MGD cannot be used with contact lenses? Will they dissolve the lenses or cause some other harmful reaction with the contacts?

Contact lenses are like sponges and absorb everything.... a company would have to receive approval (though study/evidence) to state that their product is safe to use with contact lenses due to the extended contact/surface time this causes on the cornea. I-Med has not done this step so can not state. It is not that the product would damage the contact lens.

  • Can I use it more than twice a day?

Yes - all I-MED products are non-preserved and you can use many times per day.    Twice a day is typical minimum therapeutic use

  • Can I use this product with my contact lens?

I-MED MGD is not approved with contact lens use however I-MED PUR is excellent and compatible
